Hi All -- Is anybody out there old enough to remember the Vector P-173 wiring pencil? I was reminded of it while looking over the new edition of Don Lancaster's "CMOS Cookbook", where it is (was) highly recommended. I had forgotten how good it was -- easier to use than Slit-n-Wrap for #30 daisy-chain wiring, and the insulation melted like flux with low-temp solder. Should be useful for solder-in PICs. Although Slit-n-Wrap still seems to be doing fine, the P-173 pencil is no longer in the Vector catalog. The Sales Department "never heard of it", and don't know where to find that wire.
