Just a quickie,

        I have purchased a couple of 2x16 LCD from BG MICRO that are LED
backlit.  The Optrex catalog diagram shows a series resistor used between
the anode and cathode, pins 15 and 1, respectively.  I have tried this,
but not gotten any effect.  If anyone has any experience with this LED
backlighting, would you please email me.
