FYI: I just flipped open the latest EDN (Dec 18, 1997) and it contains a
'Design Idea' for the '164 shift register based simplification discussed
last week. It's there in black & white (and some blue.) Code for a 68HC05 is
theoretically downloadable and it should be easily convertible.
