Not sure if this got through last time I sent it... Any suggestions for a cheap (<$2, 5Kpcs) lcd controller ? Display will be either direct drive (60 x 1) or 2:1 (30 x 2). Power including display (small, 40 x 25mm) should be <15uA at 3.6v. A frame rate output would be useful for waking up the PIC. Looking at the data sheet, the 16C924 power consumption looks a bit high (lcd on, sleep, WDT off). A 16C73, woken by the frame rate o/p prescaled by timer 1 for a 1Hz wakeup may be a lower power solution if I can match the component cost. I want to run for 8-10 years from an AA lithium thionyl chloride battery (1AH) if possible! I like the Epson chips, as they are low power - not yet looked at price for this display format - I've used them for bigger displays in the past.. Any other suggestions welcome! ____ ____ _/ L_/ Mike Harrison / White Wing Logic / wwl@netcomuk.co.uk _/ L_/ _/ W_/ Hardware & Software design / PCB Design / Consultancy _/ W_/ /_W_/ Industrial / Computer Peripherals / Hazardous Area /_W_/
