Sigh.  Twice this week I went to perform some task that just six months
    ago was a BBS upload.  As I was about to do so, it dawned on me that
    they all do E-mail.  So I sent it all Email.  It won't be long and the
    BBS's will probably go the way of CPM.  Seems so sad for something that
    I did all the time!

BBS's were never more than "poor man's email" in the first place...

You can lament the "all our eggs are in one basket now" problem, but the
loss of BBS's per se are no big deal.
