Just my opinion, but I don't see how a direct link to the
"piclist@mitvma.mit.edu" address really helps anyone... It seems to
me that instructions for SUBSCRIBING to the list would be a whole
lot more useful.

Those instructions, of course, are:

    To subscribe to the PICLIST, send an email message to:

        listserv@mitvma.mit.edu

    with the following in the BODY of the message (the message
    subject is unimportant):

        subscribe piclist
        end
