This is a great list. I have learned more from reading this list than from the weeks I spent reading PIC books. Here's my question: I recently salvaged a nice power supply from an industrial instrument to use as my power supply for my PIC experiments. It has 9 outputs as follows: +24V 1.5A ground + 5V 5A + 5V 5A + 12V 1A fl -12V 1A fl +12V 1A fl -12V 1A fl P.F. What is the function of the P.F. output (is 5V) and what does the "fl" mean on the 12V outputs. Ground is used to close the 24, 5, and P.F. circuits but none of the 12V circuits show any voltage when referenced to ground. They do show 12V though when the +12V is referenced to its CORRESPONDING -12V. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fernando
