     The only info. I have seen (sharp products shortform) says its:-
     
     a 16 x 2 character display, char size 2.96 by 4.86.
     
     Sounds like a standard HD44780 compatible display.
     
     What is the controller chip on the module. if it's one of the 
     following, it's compatible:-
     
     Samsung KS0066
     Sanyo LC7985 NA
     Epson SED1278
     UMC UM3881B
     OKI MSM6222 
     Toshiba T7934
     NewJapanRadio NJU64xx (various)

Hello All,
     
I have a diplay from Sharp . LM 16255. Does anyone know where I could get
A Data Sheet from. I have tried the sharp wesite in Japan, but the only pdf file
On this display contained a drawing of the device.
Is there any information out there ? If someone could email me a copy or a
 weblink
