They will operate down to 1.8 volts, do not require any programming voltages, Will operate up to 400Khz clock rate. They are also very low power. I built a memory module for Lockheed that had 128K of them. I powered them from an output bit. They read at a few micro amps and write at around 3ma. Microchip web site has the data sheets. Dave Duley
