I have just started wtih the PIC 16c84 and have schematics by David
Tait.  I have 2 questions.

1.  He uses a 9 PIN D-type conection that goes to the printer port.
Does this mean a serial to parrallel conection?  If so I assume 0V, d0,
d1 ect mean pin numbers how do I allocate the wires?

2.  Can this programmer be used to read a 16c84, 16c54 and write to the
16c54?  If it cannot write to a 16c54 is there another programmer I can
use?

Any help would be appreciated.
