D snip snip Hidden under Quantity pricing on their web site they list just the chip for $18 each in ones (quantity pricing ?) $12.96 each for five, $8.10 x 25, $5.95 x 100 and $5.04 x 500 Buy the chip, a 93LC56 EEPROM ($2), a ceramic resonator ($1.50) mount it all on perf. board Download the manual it has all you need For the programming cable you need 3 wires, I use a 3.5 stereo headphone plug on the cable and a socket on the stamp boards. Others have suggested phone plugs but here small neat phone sockets are imposible to find If you need more help Email me privately Is Parallax worse than Microchip --------------------------------- Speaking of Parallax........ I would be jumping up and down in anticipation of the new Scenix chip, except that they have chosen Parallax for development tools I sympathise with Tjaart and his problems with Microchip But Parallax are a Company that has cost me time and money through their underhand ways I refuse to do further business with them.
