I've been busy with a data logging project for a while
now and have considered various mechanisms for storing the data or
transmitting it to a central station.

My intermediate solution seems to be a DS1996 8K by 8 1-wire module.
I've developed some access routines to save and retrieve data but
nothing elegant or tidy. Recently I downloaded the TMEX stuff from
DALLAS and it solves a retieval problem, however the data format for
writing to the device is not well documented, or well hidden. The SDK
covers readin and writin from a PC using intermediate S/W drivers.

Has anyone used the TMEX format, or know of the data structures used.
