There is a PIC-related item in a back-issue of EDN Magazine (June 19 1997) that could be of interest to readers. It shows how a 16C54 can be used with a Maxim chip (MAX951, contains an op-amp, comparator and voltage reference) to measure voltage with an accuracy of 0.05% or better. It also gives a program listing for the project, including a way of converting the A-D output to BCD and displaying it on a standard Hitachi serial LCD display. Now for the bad news: a) I defy you to do the above download in less than 45 minutes. b) The listing seems to be riddled with errors. I am not sure what assembler they are using.
