The July 1997 issue of Microchip's MicroScope entitled "MPLAB on Windows 95 Now...Windows NT in the Future!" gave details regarding their intention of Windows NT support for MPLAB.

Their initial results with NT has been less than satisfactory regarding communication throughput. The article shows that Microchip has high standards for their customers. So, instead of shipping a poor product, MPLAB has to be revamped -- an arduous task!

How can anyone fault a company that is really trying hard and *has* been into NT development for some time?

Most Third Party Developers, including myself, will have to face NT sooner or later -- it's a whole different ballgame than working within the Win 95 development environment.
