I've spent many a Friday and Saturday night building electronic stuff way into the night. One of the finest Friday nights I ever spent was when a buddy of mine and I were working on calibrating an anemometer. We lugged a generator into my pickup truck, he rode shotgun with an 8088 PC in his lap, the anemometer was strapped to a pole sticking up out of the bed, and we went tooling out across the plains on a still night at midnight going 10 MPH, then 15, then 20. We laughed the whole time about what the sherriff was going to say. The anemometer blew up at 65 MPH, but we had a great time anyway. Why did we need an anemometer? Who cares? Best Regards, Lawrence Lile
