Appreciate all the PIC listers that take the time to give
answers on this PIC list. I've been looking for an
in-ckt programmer(ICP) that has these requirements:

1. 16X84 only is OK
2. diode & resistor for MCLR to Vdd OK
3. Compatible with all or most PC computers ie 12 to 14V Vpp
4. Program & Go ie. no manual switches or cable to unplug.
5. Compatible with PIP02 software
6. Prefer Serial PC port but Parallel OK

Looks like PIP02 is a good program with plenty of
device drivers.
Does anybody know which programmer the "Compic1" device
driver uses?  It is listed as one of the PIP02 drivers.

Looks like the P16PRO might have the features I want
but can't determine PIP02 compatability or if it will
program & go without a MCLR.

Would like to buy PC board but schematic OK.
