No need to apologise. In fact you are in a sense right as a VERY long time ago capacitors used to be know as CONDENSORS. When I used to work for Cable and Wireless, they have a training college and a museum. In the museum the have some real old telepgraph equipment used in the early 1900's for communicating across jungles. FYI it was a kind of NRZ morse code thing! But anyway this is where I first saw a capacitor called a condensor.
