Look like that to me too Niki! I've got the same Powertip Display and there
are two pads on the righthandside of the display for that.

OTOH: Pin 15 is marked AND and pin16 CATH.
So waht now?

Perhaps the extra pads on the side of the display os for a custom LED?
Unlikely though...
