This was sent yesterday under a wrong subject heading. In case you might have missed it, here it is again: MPLAB v3.30 has been posted to the Microchip web page: http://www.microchip2.com/mplab.htm This version now includes MPASM v2.00 which can produce executable code directly (as before) or can produce object modules to be linked with MPLINK v1.00. MPLIB v1.00 is also available to make relocatable libraries. This version also supports the ICEPIC emulator from R.F. Solutions. You must first install MPLAB v3.30, then install the latest ICEPIC software. Except for the configuration of the serial port for ICEPIC, operation is almost exactly the same as for PICMASTER. Some features, such as the trace buffer and support for the 17Cxx family, are not available with ICEPIC and these menu items are greyed out. Summary of new features in MPLAB v3.30: - PICMASTER v3.30 support of PIC17C756 - PRO MATE v4.10 support of PIC12C672 - ICEPIC support (Contact R.F. Solutions for latest drivers) - MPASM v2.00 (Relocatable objects) - MPLINK v1.00 - MPLIB v1.00 - PICSTART Plus v1.40 (No firmware changes) - MPLAB-SIM v6.30 MPLAB-SIM v6.30 does not yet support the 12C671/672, but a version will be posted in about two weeks to support these new 8-pin PICmicros.
