That is an idea I have been toying with for a while, but I do not know much about ISA architecture. The data from a modem card would be in parallel, so i would have to shift to serial domain for my device (I'm assuming). I may have the I/O on the C74A available, I would just have to rewrite the communication routines if i accessed the data in Parallel.
