I tried to order a 24LC01 and a 24LC02 from Digikey and they told
me that these chips have been discontinued.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a 256 byte (or more - but I
need to keep the cost <$1) EEPROM for use with a Microchip 16C73A style
PIC?  I2C preferred, but anything will do.
