Does anyone like red?  I find it objectionable for clock radios.
Probably because of the eye's non-sensitivity down that end of the
visible spectrum.  Take it you are referring to the different Vf for
the yellow/green ones.  I've never seen a blue (LED) seven segment
display - anyone?
