        First of all, you need a new 17c44 (blank). The another thing is
the now firmware, version 1.3, from www.microchip.com in menu
Tools. You should program the firmware into your 17c44 by using your
PicstartPlus. I am not sure that you need the program for that or not. If
you need another program, it should be in the microchip web site.
