Dave, I normally use the 73A/74A at 9600 (BRGH=0) with an 8Mhz
crystal that provides better accuracy. Some folks here have used
the chips with BRGH=1 despite the warning. You might consider the
16C76 which has the BRGH bug fixed as well as additional data and
program memory.
