Hello,

        I am a begineer about PICs, and I have an ITU PIC-1 programmer.

I find out an interresting project in video/electronics on the WEB and it's
a video decoder sold by connectrix.
You find a schematic of that decoder in the attach file DECSCH.GIF

The trouble I get with the design of that decoder is the PIC itself.
After I phone connectrix, I find out 2 things:

- Their code on the PIC is not compatible with the cable system in my area.
AND
- The PIC itself are code protected with fuses, and they are not willing to
sell
  (or give) the source code of their project.

I already find on the net the "close caption decoder" a similar project...

I am an electronics technician and not a programmer, so I search
application notes,
and related experiences, old sources codes, similar projects... to
understand the
reciprocal action between the PIC and the electronic circuit.
