Yes. I agree - so why didn't you ? Your raisins got chewed up. > If we all just ignored the post, or pressed the replybot button > to send the poster some useful directions in private email, we > would have saved ten times the bandwidth originally wasted. This is human nature - nothing will regulate that - you can reduce the potential for exageration by sound pre-emptive management by putting a simple - even ONE line unsubscribe message/link - heck even I've forgotten, so of the 1350 people on this list I may not be the only one who could use it - besides the person wishing to unsubscribe. >PS: Mike, don't ignore the objections raised by the DIGEST users > to the 10% increase in average message size caused by the > repetitious unsubscribe appendage. Where did you get 10% from - Eh ? Well heck make it a ONE LINER - is that too much ? OR why can't the list server ONLY put unsubscribe messages to individual posts - that would fix it and make everyone happy - OR are you going to make up more numbers to try and argue against speculative improvement which is what I thought PIC programmers were famous for ?!? I'm on several technical lists - the quietest best run HAVE the unsubscribe signature appended by the list server. Now this list is likely to have more subscribers - are you saying we should _hope_ things improve or are you in politics or aromatherapy ? > ...and my rubbish is not plain! It has raisins in it. Next time Bob - give it a chance to germinate but, then again raisins are dried up dead grapes - so just add it to the compost ;) Rgds mike Perth, Western Australia
