I can't say the apps are as pretty and user friendly as Windows apps, it's definately not for everyone. With Windows, people have come to live with and expect their programs to crash. Microsoft makes great word processors, but they don't care if they crash, or if the OS allows them to. New versions mean more money. Sure, give Microsoft plenty of time to get their operating systems working right, in the mean time kids are making Unix clones that are much more stable and secure than Windows NT.
