I am just about to design a termostat controller for a chemistry laboratory
and need to find a supplier of "selfsticking heating mats" or "heating
strips". For the prototype I have bought one at unreasonable price $100. It
is some kind of metal foil etched in labyrint pattern and covered with some
heat resistant plastics. It seems to be produced by 3M, I just doubt the
factory will supply 5 pc this year and 5 pc the next. It does not have to be
3M production, any other will do. Just need a low voltage type (safety rules
do not allow above 24V AC), about 75 - 100 W.

Can you recommend any source ? Europe is preferred but I believe UPS can
deliver from everywhere. Thanks.

BTW, some Dallas digital thermometer chip was mentioned on the list lately.
What is its resolution ? I would possibly consider using this one.
