Hello everybody!

I need some help with the following. I want to use the serial port of my PC
to send some data to a PIC (16c84) so that I can then turn the pins on and
off. I also want the PIC to read the pins' data and transmit it to the PC
serial port.

I can write the software for the PC to send and read data, but I have very
little idea of how to write the routines for the PIC. I would appreciate some
help from anybody. Also, I would like any suggestions whether or not the
communications should be done synchronously.
