The 5452 drives 32 segments, true, but I don't really think he's going to
have a need for the am/pm indicator on a G meter, do you?  The 5452 is
easier to get and cheaper (we did a lot of sourcing for the product I use
it in).  But then if he's only making one, no big deal either way.
