Does anyone have a testing program for lcd displays using the PIC16C84 ? I'm new
 at
programming pic and i don't have all the equipment yet. However I can program
 pic 16c84
using a serial programmer. Maybe something for you guys, it uses only 6
 components and a
9 pins D connector. Using a very simple program you can download the data into
 the chip.

but back to my question. I want to test some lcd's that i have. There all
 hitachi like.
A simple program that shows some text would be perfect.
