This has been tried and the idea abandoned. Andy Warren provided the reason
why and it was something to due with the variable way some mail servers
send the same return address.

Put another way..

When it was trialed, there were a number of people who were unable to post
anything because there email address was presented differently from the way
it was when they first subscribed (or something like that.)

I not expert on the exact details so please don't fire your questions or
rebuttals my way. I'm only working from memory and I didn't take it all in
to begin with.

I do know it was tried and abandoned.
