In the October, 1994 Circuit Cellar, Jeff Bachiachi wrote an article on
recycling old floppy drives. The article talks about using the driver
chips on the card to drive the steppers.

Francesco Loconte was asking about the controller chip pinouts for a
floppy drive.  I have no knowledge, but have found this web site about
using the stepper motors (in &) out of floppy drives.  There is a card
edge connector pinout and (I believe) some code for driving them.  Try:
