Many thanks to John Payson for Your simplified pair addition idea, Bob Newhart adds a smart twist to this, Scott Dattalo brings a complete new approach to think about this into the discussion, I did not realize that what I was thinking about was a digital pass filter, it is fun to learn somethin this way Dmitry even refines this approach.... Piccing can be that much fun, thanks to the great pepole on this list! Actually I have to learn for my diploma in biochmistry, but it is soo hard to miss the fun of doing small pic projects! My current project might be a small disappointment to you, because it is just about measuring wind speed and plotting it on my computer screen using LabView. I want to store the data in a serial eeprom and transfer it to my PC in a batch. Taking simple measurements (rotations per time-intervall) yelded barely interpretable zig-zag curves. So I implemented the running average in Lab View. However I would like to do it in the Pic, because I dream of adding a LCD Matrix module to my setup and displaying history curves indepent from my PC. thanks again Ralf
