I would appreciate any help here as I am a bit puzzled about the
operation of TMR0 - Mainly the 2 cycle delay after a write to TMR0.

The data sheets say that TMR0 is inhibited for 2 Cycles following a
write to it. Is this affected by the prescale value, and whether RTCC
or WDT is selected, or is it just simply delayed by 2 (Fosc/4) cycles
and then continue as normal?

Also, if the WDT is selected from the option register, but the fuse
is not set to enable the WDT, will TMR0 increment?  I tried it using
MPSIM and it did increment, but looking at the schematic for the
prescaler I can't see how this is possible.
