Hi everyone,

I am trying to get a small controller area network (CAN) running, and am
having some problems.  I am using the PCA82C200 from Philips (no longer
in production and being replaced by the SJA1000).
I have a PIC that is able to read and write to the chip, but I am not
quite sure if I am initializing the PCA82C200 properly.
What registers are crucial to set, and what should they be set to?
What should I set the Bus Timing Register 0 (Address 6) and Bus Timing
Register 1 (Address 7) too?
How about the Output Control Register (Address 8)?
I only have theSJA1000 preliminary spec. sheet, and am not quite clear
about these three registers.  I should be getting the PCA82C200 spec.
information shortly, but could not wait to try the chips.  Has anyone
worked with the PCA82C200 who might be able to offer some insight.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
