Theres tons of info out there, couple good ones I know of are:

             ISA system archetecture, by Tom Shanley and Don Anderson, this
is one of the MindShare series.
             Interfacing to the pc, by Willis Tompkins and John Webster, this
is an old book but a pretty good one.
