Hey all you who can't find 0.3" ZIFs. Look carefully in your catalogues at the 0.6" parts - many are "Universal" with WIDE pin slots/grips. They will take anything from 0.3" through 0.6". Typical manufacturer is Aries, and typical broadline UK distributor (first catalogue down off my shelf) lists 24, 28, 32, 40 and 48 way types from them. Also lists 3M Textool in 28, 32 and 40 way versions, but you pay a LOT more for 3M Textool. The real problem is dealing with non-DIP packages - PLCC ZIFs are expensive, QFP horrendously so.
