I have been developing a PIC based circuit that needs to run at elevated
temperatures i.e. up to 125 deg C. Now that I have done that, I have been
asked to miniaturize it. All the parts that have guaranteed performance at
125 C That I can find are in DIP packages.

Has anyone run surface mount parts to 125 C and had them work reliably? I
can live with performance outside of spec. This is a non-life critical
application so failure won't cause injury or death. I talked to MAXIM and
the apps guy said their stuff should work but they won't guarantee it.
