Analog Devices sells the 1B61 Signal Conditioning Unit.

It has an amplifier / excitation and ADC (Delta/Sigma) with a serial
interface.
It can also measure thermocouples (J,K,T, etc.) and RTD's.

Looks good for low frequency, high resolution measurements.

Quite a nice package.
