     You can assume there are plans for everything.  When these plans will
     be implemented is the question (and even if I had the answer, I
     couldn't answer it here).  But most of the new parts will have these
     features.

Something for the Microchip people:

Are there any plans on adding the internal oscillator option to any PICs
other than the 8 pin devices?  Any plans for allowing OSC2 to be used as an
I/O Pin (if OSC1 is used as R/C or an external clock is sent in)?

Same question on the internally pulled up _MCLR (which is programmable)?

I've been playing around a bit with the 12C508 and these are really nice
features that I would love to see on some of the other PICs.  Being able to
use all the pins (except for Vdd and Gnd) without worrying about clocking or
reset is *really* nice!
