I would imagine (IMHO) that an easy way would be for the listserver to forward a
copy of the message to an appropriately protected news server - which did not
allow postings direct - that way only list members get their stuff posted
so there would be limited chance of confusion arising should people try to
respond to a news article that wasn't sent there by the listserver :)
