I am going to build a temperature larm based on a PIC and I have some
trouble to find out what sort of sensor I going to use. The distans from the
central unit to the sensor is a about 100-300 metres. I heard of DS1820 and
that it is communicate with serial words, does it work on that distans and
how do get the temp. from it. I have also try sensor that give 10 mV/C (or
10mV/K) and use a PIC with A/D but it is difficult to get the right
resolution ( 5 mV ).
