Macintosh PIC enthusiasts: Today I uploaded version 0.86B of the MacPIC program for editting, assembling, programming, and simulating PIC programs. As usual the code can be downloaded from: ftp://ftp.srv.net/pub/users/kxc with files MacPIC_PPC.sea and MacPIC_68K.sea for the PowerPC and 680x0 versions respectively. Two versions of each file exist there, with a .bin extension for MacBinary files, and a .hqx extension for BinHex files. This version sees the addition of better importing of hex files, a new editor based on the WASTE engine, support for the Deck programmer hardware, new data directives (DB, DE, DW), better hex export options, progress bars, bug fixes, and a whole lot more. A definite must-upgrade from the 0.84B version previously announced to the PICLIST. Comments and suggestions should be sent to me at kxc@srv.net Thanks goes for all who have supported me in the MacPIC endeaver. P.S. If other programmer makers would like to have their Mac-compatable (serial or ADB) programmers added to MacPIC, contact me by e-mail! P.P.S I maintain a list of e-mail addresses that get notices of interim releases, bug reports, etc. pertaining to the MacPIC program. If anyone wishes to be added to the list, please contact me.
