The result of this measurement is an equivalent circuit for the reasonator or crystal. Included in the equivalent circuit are resistors. The PIC chips could also be characterized for the negative resistance looking into the oscillator pins. Knowing the -R of the PIC, a specifications could be made for the +R of the reasonator. Maybe Microchip will specify there parts so that the reasonator could be specified. Have Fun, Brooke
