what features should such an RTOS have?

  * fast interrupt response time --> possible

  * preemptive multitasking      --> seems to be impossible 'cause hardware
stack

  * cooperative multitasking     --> It's what I do in my projects; makes
it easier
                                     to divide several tasks

  * memory management            --> where's the memory?

Maybe, nobody has ported an existing RTOS to PICs because of the restrictions
of the hardware ?!?
