If I had a small fusion reactor, that could fit in a car, I would be
planning a trip to one of Saturn's or Jupiter's moons or something.

I can't help but think that some collection of common stuff could work for
fusion, like dry twigs & friction start fires or some wires, plates, glass &
chemicals can remotely transmit pictures & sounds.

Until then, we all can pay for NASA burocrasy's glutonous addiction to high
explosive propulsion that barely gets us out of the atmosphere at $10,000/lb.
