My DigiKey eraser erases a 16C56 in about 5 minutes. A 16C622 takes at
least 20-30 minutes. MicroChip tells me this because of the smaller
cell size on the 622.

On the other hand, my larger (and much more expensive) production eraser
wouldn't even erase a 622 after a hour. Does a good job on EPROM's though.
Guess the 622 is just a hard part to erase.
