Thanks to all who replied to my question about parallel port settings.
        I had set it to ECP+EPP when I first got the machine and did not think
about it until I saw a post from another person.
        Let me say that setting it up as a standard parallel port ( SPP ) cured
a
little problem I was having with my programmer. I would have to unplug the
board from my bread board setup and then turn off power for a few seconds.
Then it would work until the next time I loaded the programmer software.
