Working with company $, I've always used the Microchip tools. The PICMASTER is an excellent emulator, though a bit pricey. I also think that sticking to the manufacturer's mnemonics for the assembler is an advantage. Microchip has a good assembler for both DOS and Windows, an integrated development tool (MPLAB) and a simulator. I haven't used the simulator much. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Recommend Simulator Author: Randy Walsh at Internet Date: 2/21/97 9:13 AM Hi, I'm a newbie to the pic. Can someone tell me what people like to use, the Parallax instruction set, or the Microchip. Is there a good assembler and simlator for windows? TIA. Randy randyw@colubs.com
